7up Jello Salad

2 small boxes orange jello
1 1/2 cups boiling water
1 can or small bottle 7up
1 can (20oz) crushed pineapple, reserve juice
3 bananas
optional: mandrin oranges and marshmellows
Dissolve jello in boiling water......add 7 up and chill until think and syrupy. Add pineapple, bananas and optional ingrediants. Pour into cake pan. Chill until firm.
Topping:
1/2 c. sugar
3 T. flour
1 egg, beaten
1 cup pineapple juice
2 T butter
Cook together on stove until thick and custardy like. Set aside to cool complete.
When jello is set and topping is cool frost the top of jello and DONE:)
