Aerum Polar X VRX Antenna Testing (Choo Choo) - Range, Penetration and Multi Pilot Examples

All aboad the hype train! It's that time again when a new product is released and the only people saying it is good are the ones selling it. So here is my honest review/testing of the new Aerum Polar X Antenna. Sorry the video is quite long but I wanted to show examples of it being used with various antenna's and flying situations. Got some mid range (1km) footage along with some penetration testing and some footage of me flying with 4 quads in the air (racing).
Wasn't expecting this to be as good as my standard HDO/Rapidfire setup running either dual Triumph stubbies or a stubby and a Menace Piko Patch but I'm quite pleasently surprised. All I wanted to know is does it work as well or better. Very hard to say if the video is better, way too many variables. All I can say is that it works just as well with no real signs of it not working as well. Maybe if I flew 5km away or more it would show that a patch is better for that.... well yea.... it's a patch mate. So if you do proper long range you would want to use a long range patch like a helical, pepperbox etc. But for me, and the flying I do, this VRX antenna does the job very well.
The main benefit is that you can fit your goggles in your bag easier and you don't get your antenna caught in netting (used a lot at races). Other than that.... guess what.... it's an antenna..... lol.
