So after burning up a few motors I decited to try out the Traxxas 21T motor. Im still using the stock Axial ESC and I do have a BEC. I have the winch running off 11.1 volts. Its holding up just fine and has great power. The motor was only 89F and the ESC never got over 100F. Im very happy with the results of trying out the Traxxas motor and using a 3s lipo.
