In this video I go over how to stand out at a tryout. Except this time I am going over specifically the things you should avoid if you want to impress the coaches there.

How To Stand Out At A Soccer Tryout #1
Don't give up! Coaches will pay attention to your attitude during the tryout and if they see you getting moody, frustrated or giving up on plays, they will take note. Having a player with a give up mentality or a bad attitude in general can be toxic for a team and coaches will avoid adding these players.
How To Stand Out At A Soccer Tryout #2
Don't be too much of a team player. I know that may seem weird, but hear me out. Even though you'll most likely play a full field match at a tryout, this is different to a regular full field match. The dynamics are different. You have a short amount of time to showcase what you can do. If you are just giving the ball away to another player each time, you'll run out of opportunities to make something happen. Don't go overboard. Play with a mixture of selfishness and selflessness. But you need to show the coaches what you can do.

If you turn up to the tryout out of shape, you can bet you won't make the team. Coaches will again pick up on this right away and will draw conclusions based on it. So make sure that you are training months in advanced to the tryout. Don't leave it up to chance.
