'Touchback' - with Kurt Russell, Christine Lahti, Melanie Lynskey - is slated for release on 13 April 2012. The film is being marketed to Christian communities for support in a manner akin to the campaign for the commercially successful 'Fireproof,' and stars 'Port Charles' and 'General Hospital' actor Brian Presley in the lead role.
The film portrays a football player with the world at his feet, whose injury changes his life forever, derailing the hero from his fortunes, but who is then given a chance to re-live those moments, and whether he then chooses to stay the path chosen for him, or to attempt a do-over.
Presley's company, Freedom Films, produced the project as a way to stay consistent with his physical and spritual journey.
