PLEASE READ:
This is not a beginner level process. You will need to be organized as the many small parts on the inside must be installed into the replacement housing in exactly the same location that they were removed from. When I put the charging port in the first time the metal tab was not in the right position. You can see at 1:06:27 how I had to correct this. There are very small washers that sit between the shell and charging port. Make sure that you transfer them to the new housing. The glowing Apple is easy enough to connect but I chose not to as it stays on all of the time. If you want this option just connect the negative lead to any grounded screw and use a multi meter to find a 3.7 V power supply on the logic board or proximity sensor. There are plenty of places that can be used.
